Curriculum

A meaningful and relevant curriculum can deepen a child’s understanding of concepts, expand upon current skills and create new ones. OrganiKids embraces using a variety of child-centered play and teacher-structured activities, lessons, environments and methods to facilitate social, emotional, physical, language and cognitive development. Lessons and themes emphasize the interests and experiences of the children, as well as their families and backgrounds, and provide a stimulating array of new experiences and information. Our priorities include varying individual and group activities, modifying the environments and settings, cross-integrating concepts and themes, and accommodating all different types of auditory, visual, reading/writing and kinesthetic learners. The OrganiKids curriculum focuses on wellness, citizenship, exploration, and critical thinking. We aim to create authentic and meaningful learning experiences. Our goal is to employ intentional, organized and planned curriculum consistent with our educational philosophy, that can also be adapted and modified at any time. We realize every child develops at their own unique pace and every family has different expectations; using observations, assessments, and working with families, we can create individualized plans to suit every child.
